Manufactured in Coventry in April 1973 Chassis No: CF9262 is a matching numbers car and was originally exported and first registered in Canada on 1st July 1973. It is finished in its original colour scheme of Pimento Red with Black trim, Black Mohair Soft top including Hood Cover, retro Classic Stereo/CD player and Mini-Lite style Alloy Wheels. It only had 2 owners in Canada with the second owner purchasing the car in 1985 and when he came to the UK to live in 1992, he brought the car with him. Soon after arrival it was given to classic car specialists 'Crown Classic Cars' in St Margarets, Twickenham and they carried out a complete photographed rebuild of the car which included a conversion from LHD to RHD with associated parts including a new Dashboard, many new body panels, a complete bare metal repaint of the body-shell and a full mechanical overhaul with uprated poly-bushed suspension and Spax adjustable shock absorbers. The car was regularly serviced and maintained by Crown Classics right up until the car was sold by us on his behalf in 2009 and all invoices from them for the restoration and maintenance are included in the history file. The new owner who purchased the car from us in May 2009 carried out many upgrades to the car including a reconditioned Gearbox and fitting a new J Type Overdrive by Hardy Engineering, a Stage 2 'unleaded' Cylinder Head, Phoenix Sports Exhaust Manifold and big bore Sports Exhaust with twin pipes, new SU HS6 Carburettors, ITG Air Filters, Kenlowe Fan, Electronic Ignition, Hi-Torque Starter Motor and a Facet Fuel pump and regulator, all fitted by Southern Classics in Twickenham. A rolling-road test after these works were completed confirmed close to 140bhp! There a huge history file with this car with invoices from 19
