Constructed to the highest standards, this replica of Jaguar's legendary Le Mans-winning D-Type uses an LM Roadsters RAM body and chassis kit and is powered by a 3.8-litre Jaguar engine featuring triple Weber carburettors and coupled to a four-speed all synchromesh manual with overdrive gearbox. Constructed around a tubular-steel backbone space frame chassis, the RAM D-Type features steel-braced fibreglass bodywork in the long nose, long fin, passenger-carrying style, with full-width windscreen first seen on the works Le Mans cars in 1955, while the wheels, lights and instruments are said to be to correct specification. Based almost exclusively on 1963 Jaguar running gear, unlike some of its rivals, the RAM D-Type was described by Kit Cars & Specials magazine as having 'undisputed mechanical integrity,' and was reckoned 'one of the most desirable replicas we have yet laid our hands on.' Finished in British Racing Green with grey leather interior, this authentic looking D-Type replica has covered only 5700 miles since its construction and is supplied with a V5C registration document which states that the car was registered as a Jaguar in 1967, a history file containing old MoT test certificates and related invoices. MOT til March 2018.

Delightfully presented in Silver Metallic with superb Black leather interior and correct Black soft-top, it is the same colour scheme as it left the factory in 1969. Inside, the E-Type is equally as impressive, with matching Black carpets and top-roll complemented with a wooden-rimmed steering wheel it is a truly magnificent example that must be seen to be appreciated.

According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this Series 1 LHD 4.2 litre Open two-seater Roadster - Chassis No: 1E 15837 was built in Coventry on 28th June 1967 and exported to Jaguar Cars in New York on 10th July 1967 and delivered to its first owner Mr Harry J Thornton. This is a 'Matching Numbers' car and retains its original 4.2 Lite Engine and 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and it is finished in its original specification and colour combination of Opalescent Silver Metallic with a Dark Blue Leather interior, Blue Mohair Soft Top and Chrome Wire Wheels. The car has spent the majority of its life in Virginia it seems and was found by a Mr Dean Jones in a garage in Northern Virginia in 1989 where it had been stored for a number of years. We have correspondence from his son explaining its history up until he sold it in October 2015. The car was subsequently purchased by a restoration company here in the UK and was shipped to England in February 2016. This beautiful car has just arrived with us for sale after complete Nut & Bolt rebuild to Concours standard by the specialist restorer in Essex and it is genuinely like a brand new car straight off the production line! There are a huge number of photographs of this rebuild which included a number of desirable E Type upgrades including brakes and polybushed suspension and there are accompanying invoices for all the new parts fitted. The Engine was also stripped and checked and was found to be so good with exceptional cylinder compressions and no wear evident that no new parts were required apart from gaskets for its reassembly and the same applied to the Gearbox. All the indications are that the car had not covered many miles at all and the mileage of 13,900 indicated on the speedometer may well be genuine, but of
