Finished in 'Diamond Schwartz' ''Diamond black'', with black leather, the car was originally specified with air conditioning, electric glass sunroof, electric windows, electric door mirrors, central locking and an onboard computer. This very special, UK, right-hand drive, manual car, was first registered on the 1st of August 1985, and according to the chassis plate, the base car was a 528i, and with the dashboard plaque stating it is number of 5 of 479, it marries up nicely that the first seven were indeed 528i models. Well known in BMW Alpina circles, the car was subject to an extensive restoration whilst retaining the interior's period patina. Such was the high standard of restoration, that Number 5 went on to win a multitude of BMW Concours events. After one such win, the car was selected for display at the 'Meguiars Showcase' at the 2009, NEC Classic Motor Show, a very rare honour and open only to selected winners of their respective marque national shows of the year.

1961 BMW ISETTA 300 3 wheeler BUBBLE CAR (RHD) This entirely wonderful and diminutive 3-wheeler car was supplied new in the UK on 8th November 1961 in right hand drive format. It is finished in white with grey trim and full sunshine roof. The Isetta was nicknamed the bubble car due it its egg shape and bubble like windows and caused a sensation at its launch at the 1953 Turin Motorshow. This historic and tax exempt vehicle was an economy car intended to provide low cost transport for two persons with luggage. We can only imagine that the austerity and shortages caused by WWII and the Suez crisis made it a very welcome vehicle indeed! The V5 shows there have been 2 owners with the second owner being the agent who purchased the car on our behalf from a deceased estate. The mileage of 27000 is believed to be correct. The vehicle has been fully restored some time ago and has been dry stored for a number of years since. Some tlc and re-commissioning is needed just to tidy it up and bring it fully to its former glory. Although some of the history for the car has not yet come to light, we do have a fair amount including the following: HPi report, write ups on the Isetta, current V5, Wikipedia write up, isetta gazettes x 4 dated 1998, the Montipower professional brand paperwork, restoration letter, coach trimming letter, electroplate info, vintage and classic car consultants information, tippers vintage number plate paperwork, Isetta Owners Club paperwork, various invoices, Autocar road test report, Isetta spare parts listing. The engine is 298cc single cylinder 4 stroke and develops a cute 13hp with a max speed of 53 mph. Fuel consumption is 57-62mpg. It has a four speed gearbox with rear wheel drive. The popularity of the micro cars cannot be under-estimated as they continue
