This "AS NEW Morris Minor 1000 Traveller was first registered on 1st March 1968 and has been the subject of a total restoration/rebuild by Morris Minor specialist Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre in Bristol.
Charles Ware's rebuilds start at £26,450 for their basic traveller with any personal specifications and upgrades at additional cost. The rebuild cost of this car came to £31,000 with the addition of a fully rebuilt 1275cc MG Midget Engine by Swiftune' of Ashford in Kent costing £6,000 plus a reconditioned Ford Sierra Type 9 Five Speed Gearbox by Ford specialist BGH Geartech in Cranbrook, Kent taking the final costs to almost £38,000.
The car is finished in Old English White with new Red half leather Seats with head restraints, new Red carpets, new Door trims, new Headlining, new Ash Woodwork, all new Chromework, new lights, new Disc Brake conversion + Brake Servo, all new Brake pipes & hoses, new Brake & Clutch Hydraulics, new Radiator and all hoses, all new wiring looms, Alternator conversion, Classic Suspension with a front Anti-Roll bar and Shock Absorber conversion, new Exhaust System, Electronic Ignition, all new plug leads, coil and other electrics, refurbished wider steel wheels with new Toyo tyres, fully waxoyled, and so much more to list as 'everything' is new on this car and it is almost definitely better than a new Morris Traveller would have been when it came off the production lines in 1968.
Since the rebuild was completed in September 2015 it has only covered 397 miles and this example is without doubt one of the best examples in the country if not the best and it represents exceptional value for money at this price, being £8,000 less than it cost the owner to have built!
It will be sold with a new MOT and it will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty.
