SHOESTRING SERIES A SELL-OUT 08/09/2010, By
A NEW race series aimed at making motorcycle racing cheaper has a full grid.
The first ever No Budget Cup race in the UK is in Anglesey this weekend, with over 48 bikes taking part in the three-hour endurance race.
The series says it is for those with shoe strings rather than purse strings and may now race a full series in the UK next year.
The race series is aimed at amateurs looking to put their 1990s superbikes and supersports machines through their paces on a race track, but without the prohibitive expenses of other racing series.
Riders get plenty of track time and the series organisers reckon it offers better value for money than a track day, but with a competitive edge.
Visit www.nobudgetcup.co.uk for more information. If you want to try the series in Belgium, places are still available at £345.
